Kicking Goals in 6P Style

The end of the year may be in sight and whilst our festive season shutdown is nearing, our community couldn't help but kick a few more BIG goals.

From Dance Mum to ADF Ambassador

Congratulations to Chantal Fleming on being named the Australian Dance Festival's very first 'Dance Mum' Ambassador!

Earlier in the year, Chantal participated alongside her daughter at Australian Dance Festival (ADF), an annual celebration of Australia's best in dance, comprising of workshops with dance professionals, performances, competitions and an expo of dance products and services. Her 'give your all' attitude caught the attention of ADF Director, Angela Lau, and the rest is history!

Chantal began regularly frequenting 6P this year and has since gone from strength to strength; not only has her dancing improved significantly over the year, she has also competed in the adults section in the Rainbow Dance and Follow Your Dreams Competitions (under the guidance of Dazzle Dance Academy) with outstanding results.

We are so proud of you, Chantal, for your courage and tenacity in living and breathing your own personal slogan: Dreams don't have deadlines. Well done on all your hard work for this deserved outcome!

6P at the 2018 CWB Awards

Every year, Canberra Women in Business (CWB), a not-for-profit association supporting women in business in the Canberra region, recognise and reward the valuable contributions and achievements of ACT and surrounding regions business women.

The Canberra dance community seems to be making a splash at the 2018 CWB Awards, with Dance Northside director, Holly Diggle, named as a Small Business of the Year finalist and Bom Funk Dance Studio director, Kym Degenhart, named as a Young Business Woman of the Year finalist.

Alongside these two inspiring women and studio owners, 6P director, Gen, has also been named as a finalist in the Solace Creations sponsored Small Business of the Year category! This achievement would not have been possible without our teaching team and students; this is a HUGE thank you to you, the 6P community. Thank you for all you have done (whether it be teaching, attending class, recommending us - every small action counts) to help this little dance studio that could stand on its feet.

Festive Season Shutdown

6P will be closed over the festive season to give our team (and you!) a well-deserved rest after a big year of dancing.

The last day of class will be Sunday, 16 December 2018.

Shutdown will be from Monday, 17 December 2018 to Friday, 11 January 2019.

6P will reopen on Saturday, 12 January 2019, with our much-loved Open Day! Normal classes commence on Sunday, 13 January 2019.

This means there are eight weeks left for you to soak up as much dance as possible for the remainder of 2018! Hop to it:
